recently saw (i know, i'm late)...
the simpsons - liked it. more like the old episodes used to be
ratatoullie - loved it. will be a disney classic
the golden compass (second viewing) - even better the second time

the new will ferrell movie i can't even remember the name too but took too much time previewing at the theatre

kingdom - pretty good movie
shoot em up - not worth the dollar rental
rush hour 3 - didnt really like it, but didn't like the first or second either. all the same
excellent excellent movie. although i bought the book, i had only gotten through the first chapter when my daughter and her boyfriend took me to see it the day after my birthday. i must say some of the symbolism blew me away. the visuals were enchanting and the story fascinating. i loved it. i think the "tear up" count was as least 3. without giving it away, the end really got to me. i wanted to clap right then and there in the theatre. :D
if you haven't seen it, go see it. and please, for god's sake (excuse the pun) don't let some intentional controversy designed to promote either the film or other agenda's keep you away. that would be like not going to see harry potter because someone said Rowling was trying to convince the world that witches have ultimate power in the world. Never heard that one around the HP hoopla, did you?
go see this movie. it's incredible.
